OCTOPULP welcomes it’s newest appendage - Arnold Bagasha who, apart from MAKING comics, also STARS in one! Those of you who are regular readers of Lars Kram’s ARCH ENEMY will recognize Arnold as the character Nestor Griffin!

We are all very excited to have Arnold join us, not only because he fills up our ethnic minority quota, but also because he’s a swell guy with a great taste in comics!

Hey!

My name is Tom and I’m a part of Octopulp the newly started comics collective based at The Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark.
Beside the fact that Octopulp is the name of our creative collective, it is also the name of our anthology print Octopulp Magazine which is published bimonthly.

We have just started, but the specialized media in Denmark has already taken notice of us. In the Art Bubble event in Horsens, we launched our first Octopulp magazine and it was a national critic success. Now we plan to spread the word locally in Viborg and vicinities and would like the cooperation of the local media vehicles such as your newspaper.

We form a rather international team: Lars Kram, and me, Tom kristensen are from Denmark. Igor Noronha is from Brazil and Martin Bruun Pedersen is from Malaysia, but both of them have been living in Viborg for some years now. Our comics range from the cutest characters to horror and mind blowing experiences for grown-ups. Our comics are sold in print and on the iPad.

We would like to invite you and your readers to our official launch of Octopulp May 27, 2011 which includes: a tour of the studio, comic exhibition, picnic and grill, live painting and music with guests from the diverse Scandinavian comic book and art scenes.

An exhibition with original art from us will be held at Pakhuset from 3 pm to 5 pm on Friday and the rest of the weekend from 11am to 17 pm, everyone is invited!
